Whitewater Draw is on my Birding Sites map here: http://www.funbirdingtours.com/birding-in-se-az/birding-sites/

It’s about two hours from Tucson. Take I-10 east until just before Willcox, then 191 south to Elfrida. In Elfrida you’ll branch right onto Central Highway, then turn right onto Davis and left on Coffman, which is a dirt road. Whitewater Draw is a couple of miles on the right..

Thanks Jain, thanks Sierra. Paton’s is a quite amazing place to live. It’s not without its problems – I moved a two bed, two bath house into a one room guesthouse, so it’s a bit cramped, and the wildlife sometimes finds its way indoors, but on the other hand… eight species of hummingbird recorded at the feeder a few feet from my window so far… you just can’t beat it!

this was the first time i had seen the turtles. i was very surprised and very happy to see them.there is about 8 to 10 if not more than that,i(we) walk over the brige on cortaro most every night n its a delight to see
