Fun Birding Workshops in SE Arizona

Ring-necked Duck and Lesser ScaupOnce a month I hold fun birding workshops around Tucson and Southeast Arizona, aimed at beginner and intermediate birders. We concentrate on having a great birding day, with a side subject or two to make sure we all learn something. For example, March’s workshop will be in the Sulphur Springs Valley. We’ll study and get to grips with several species of raptor, sparrow and thrasher, but we’ll also have great fun witnessing the incredible spectacle of thousands of Sandhill Cranes coming to roost at Whitewater Draw.

Workshops are limited to ten participants so please register your interest early. They are set at a medium pace and usually include gentle to moderate hikes. Workshops last all day, but you are welcome to participate for just the morning or afternoon if you prefer. We meet at the first birding site of the day. Car-pooling from Tucson is usually arranged. Bring food and drinks.

Workshop Prices:
Full day – $25 per person
Half day – $15 per person
Supervised kids (under 16) go free
